Job description

As manager of the finance team and as an advisor for our client’s board and regional management you are the main contact person for all matters relating to accounting, tax, legal and insurances and you maintain the relationship with the external advisors and auditor. In these matters you develop and maintain financial policies, administrative organisation and risk management. You drive the continuous improvement in the finance area. You are in the lead in the monthly closing and annual audit.

This position requires a high level of independence to acquire knowledge on application and changes of laws and regulations on all legislation and tax areas. You report directly to the CFO. Together with the group controller and lead business control you are the financial conscience of our client!

This position has a lot of responsibilities and challenges:

  • Make accounting a business partner by maintain relationship with other managers;
  • Create committed and motivated accounting teams where people are happy to work;
  • Run the accounting process and reporting cycles, from planning to filling the audited consolidated accounts and statutory reporting, in order to ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting;
  • Take ownership and responsibility of the company’s corporate compliance matters and coordinate international tax and legal matters with external service providers;
  • Oversee the international compliance and audit management related to the business’s subsidiaries;
  • Advising on corporate tax, legal and regulatory matters and coordinate the (income) taxes for all (foreign) companies under local/foreign statutory reporting rules;
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, guidelines, protocols and manuals for accounting and tax to ensure the Group complies with regulations and good financial practice;
  • Maintain and improve an administrative organization in line with legislation and regulations and internal planning and control guidelines;
  • Implement and maintain a risk management framework to identify existing and potential risks and assess how to deal with them if they arise;
  • Regular financial analysis, identifying and managing financial risk, completing financial research, performing economic and sales forecasting, analysing our client’s sales, gross margin and overall performance;
  • Monitor and improve accounting processes with the aim of making them as efficient as possible.
